Cloud 9 Balloons humbly began in the garage of a small home in a quiet neighborhood in La Mirada, California. Rick Rodriguez and his wife Maria, who was then pregnant with their second son, decided to start a part-time business to supplement their full time jobs.  After researching many possibilities Rick decided the balloon decorating business was for him.

With meager savings as startup capital, the couple managed to take a chance and Cloud 9 was born. With Rick’s sales background and Maria’s creativity it didn’t take long before they were decorating for every wedding, grand opening, birthday and graduation within 30 miles of their home. A year later, thru referrals and word of mouth, the couple began taking on clients like Disney, The Mighty Ducks, the Improv Comedy club, Boeing Aircraft, Kawasaki and many more.

Today, Cloud 9 Balloons has grown to become Southern California’s premiere source for Aerial Advertising and Balloon Décor.  In addition, Cloud 9 now distributes Advertising Spheres and Blimps to Northern California, Nevada, Arizona and Colorado.
